Ahmedia Paint & Hardware is a family run hardware store founded in 1964 by the Late Mr Adam Ahmed and his wife, the Late Mrs Hawa Ahmed. Together, they opened the first Ahmedia Paint & Hardware in Rylands Estate, where they served the community for 20 Years.

With the driving force of their second son, the Late Mr Abdulmajid Ahmed and his wife, Mrs Fatima Ahmed, Ahmedia Paint & Hardware was relocated in 1999 to a bigger premises in Klipfontein Road, Surrey Estate, Athlone. This was much needed as the store in Rylands Estate, where they had served for 15 years, was not big enough to accommodate the growing demand in the area. Mr & Mrs Ahmed expanded their store over the past 25 years, building relationships with the local community and serving them with excellent service and competitive pricing. 

We offer a very affordable delivery service throughout the Cape Peninsula and Greater Cape Town area. We always strive to deliver your order when you require it – to make it one less thing for you to worry about! No matter the load, we will always deliver.

We offer professional, high quality and extremely accurate key cutting services – ranging from Cylinder Locks and Padlock Keys to Car Keys and Safety Gates Keys. We also carry a wide range of spare keys for mortice door locks.

We offer an exchange service wherein a customer may bring in their empty gas tank, be it LPG, Oxygen or Acetyline. We will swop it out for a full tank.

We offer a Glass cutting services for all domestic related glass requirements, perfect for replacing a window or adding a creative element to your door. Options range from 3mm or 4mm clear glass to 4mm frosted glass, Amber Glass or Mirror with the Maximum glass size being 1225mm x 915mm.
